The Silly Monkey and the Big Banana
This is a short, funny story in English for Class 1 kids about a silly monkey who learned a funny lesson.
One bright morning in the green jungle, a little monkey named Tom was jumping happily from tree to tree. Tom loved to play, eat bananas, and make funny faces at his friends.
Tom was small, brown, and very curious. He always wanted to try new things. Sometimes he did not think before acting. That often made other animals laugh.
The Big Banana Surprise
One day, while swinging from a tree, Tom saw something yellow lying near the river.
“Wow! A big banana!” Tom shouted happily.

The parrot flew back and said, “Tom, maybe we should find a real banana now.”
