One starlit night, while gazing at the moon, Lily noticed something peculiar. The moonstone, a legendary gem said to reside deep within the Whispering Woods, was glowing with an unusual intensity. It pulsed with a vibrant, emerald green light, casting dancing shadows on the forest floor.
Intrigued, Lily decided to investigate. She grabbed her trusty flashlight, a gift from her grandfather, and ventured into the woods. The air was thick with the scent of pine needles and damp earth, and the only sounds were the rustling of leaves and the distant hooting of an owl.
